About The Client:

Have you ever gone into a grocery store or convenience store for things like milk, bagged salads, or frozen pizza? The coolers and freezers you find those and other food products in are what we do!!

Our Client is a manufacturer of reach-in and open refrigerated and frozen food display cases as well as the refrigeration systems that work behind the scenes to cool the cases, keeping the food fresh! We also make powerful industrial refrigeration systems for food warehousing, pharmaceuticals, and even ice rinks!

Field Service Technician I : SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Field Support Manager, the Field Support Technician (FST) is an infield representative responsible for supporting large and small supermarket and industrial customers. The FST will conduct store/site visits, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair within assigned locations. Note: Assigned locations are nationwide and does require air travel Monday – Thursday. Friday work is local at Ramsey, MN location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect the installation of equipment for proper leveling, sealing, piping, and refrigeration practices.
• Observe the operation of mechanical and electrical components
• Assist installers in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and refrigeration problems on-site and via telephone support
• Provide feedback and design ideas to improve the installation, operation, or appearance of our equipment
• Complete paperwork and reports as required
• Attend regional and national meetings for field personnel
• Travel nationwide Monday – Thursday; Friday work assignment is local at Ramsey, MN location.
• Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL & BEHAVIORAL:

• Regularly required to stand or walk; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lift and/or move up to 70 pounds usually from the floor to waist level, up to 20 feet away
• Frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, usually from the floor to waist level, up to 20 feet away
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Requires the use of safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoes
• All employees expected to behave and communicate in a manner which will facilitate good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors: maintaining a positive work atmosphere.
• Ability to travel via airplane and car to assigned locations.

More About the Opportunity:

This is a 10-week training program with an opportunity to interview with our Client.
You will, in a short time, learn what is needed to be Day-1 ready working as a Field Service Technician I. Competitive wages begin once training has concluded and hired on with our Client.

Training consists of Zoom-remote learning and on-site, hands-on learning at Client’s facility in Ramsey, MN (55303). Training is Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM . Employment opportunity may include additional hours, weekends, and mandatory overtime.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must be 21 years or older for insurance purposes
• Must pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Passion for trades and a strong desire to learn technical skills.
• Great communication skills, experience working with customers and clients.
• Ability to thrive in a remote learning environment.
